Members of the Ekiti State chapter of the Atiku Care Foundation have been encouraged to unite and remain steadfast in the quest to realise the mandate of the humanitarian organisation..
The charge was given in Ado-Ekiti on Tuesday by the Director-General of the Atiku Care Foundation, Amb. Aliyu Bin Abbas at the interactive forum with members of the foundation in Ekiti State.
The Director-General pledged to liaise with the leadership of the ACF in Ekiti State to identify their needs and offer necessary support where necessary.
Abbas who noted that the organisation was founded to support the vulnerable people across the nation, tasked the Ekiti chapter of the ACF to unite towards realising the mandate of the ACF.
Earlier, the Ekiti State Director, Prince Sunday Samuel Olorunfemi in his welcome address commended Abbas for his tireless commitment and sacrifice also appealed to the ACF leader to equip the chapter to meet the needs of the people.
“We are gathered here today because we believe in our Grandpatron, former Vice President Alh. Atiku Abubakar; we appeal that you carry us along,” Olorunfemi asked.
He said the Ekiti State people love Atiku and will not hesitate to follow him because of his vision towards and capacity to offer solution to many challenges confronting the nation.
In her goodwill, the Regional Director, Women Development Affairs, Hon. Mrs. Olubunmi Adebiyi pledged the commitment of women in the region to the humanitarian endeavours of Alh. Atiku Abubakar towards lifting many homes out of poverty.
She said only Atiku through the ACF has shown genuine commitment towards gender inclusion that can guarantee equal opportunity for the Nigerian women.
Matron of the ACF in Ekiti, Chief Mrs Adetayo Yemisi while addressing the forum charged the former Vice President to see Ekiti State as his own, saying the people love him as one who can ‘rescue Nigeria from corruption, unemployment, killings and bad governance.
Highlights of the event is the induction of the state advisory board of the ACF and presentation of certificates to members of the state executive.
The DG was accompanied by Barr. Sunday Umeha, Regional Director, Southeast; Hon. Akinze Moze, Benue State Director and his Special Assistant (Special Duties), Alh. Haruna Manu.
