Nollywood veteran actor and director and founding father of the Nigerian Movie Industry (Nollywood) will be a year older January 25, 2021

Tony Akposheri fondly and widely known as Zakky in the now rested TV series, Masquerade, is one of the strong pillars and very few actors still alive among the pioneers of the now famous Nigerian Nollywood that took the world by storm

Tony began his illustrious acting career with stage plays in 1976.

He later work briefly with NTA. While at NTA he featured in Masquerade, an NTA television series that was very popular in the 70s where he played the role of Zakky.

Tony’s acting skills and exceptional performance at the time eventually shot him to limelight, and has since become a household name till date with several Nollywood movies to his credit

The highly creative and talented Nollywood actor has received several outstanding awards including an honorary Doctorate Degree

The amiable and humble actor is a role model to millions of Nigerian youths

Tony is married and he is blessed with lovely grown up children

As he adds another year today, Nigerians and the entertainment world celebrate him and wish him a happy birthday celebration and many more years of service to his fatherland and the entertainment world
